1. 1. Acceptance of these termsBy opening poe-ai.net or starting a conversation with a Poe AI companion, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service.
2. 2. EligibilityYou must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use Poe AI. By continuing you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. 3. Description of the servicePoe AI provides conversational companions that are fictional characters. The service is offered for entertainment and companionship and is provided on an as-is basis.
4. 4. Fictional charactersLuna, Mia, Aria, Sofia, Nyla and Elena are original creations. They are not real people, their images are generated, and any resemblance to an actual individual is unintended.
5. 5. No professional adviceNothing said by a Poe AI companion is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If you need professional help, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service.
6. 6. Account registrationIf you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account credentials.
7. 7. Account securityKeep your password confidential and notify us promptly at support@poe-ai.net if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend an account while a security issue is investigated.
8. 8. One account per personEach person may hold one Poe AI account. Creating multiple accounts to evade limits, bans or promotional restrictions is a breach of these terms.
9. 9. Acceptable useYou agree not to use Poe AI for unlawful purposes, to harass others, to distribute malware, to scrape the service, or to attempt to disrupt or overload our infrastructure.
10. 10. Prohibited contentRequests involving minors, non-consensual scenarios, real identifiable individuals, extreme violence, or illegal activity are strictly forbidden and are grounds for immediate termination.
11. 11. Automated accessBots, crawlers, scripted clients and reverse engineering of the Poe AI interface are not permitted without our prior written consent.
12. 12. Your contentYou retain ownership of the messages you write. You grant Poe AI a limited licence to store and process them solely to operate the service and maintain your conversation history.
13. 13. Our intellectual propertyThe Poe AI name, the site design, character descriptions, imagery and code are protected by copyright and trade mark law and may not be copied or reused without permission.
14. 14. FeedbackIf you send suggestions about Poe AI, we may use them without restriction and without any obligation to compensate you.
15. 15. Free and paid accessBasic access to Poe AI is free. Optional paid features, where offered, are described clearly with their price and billing period before purchase.
16. 16. Billing and renewalSubscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. The card on file is charged at the start of each new period.
17. 17. CancellationYou may cancel a subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period and no further charges are made after cancellation.
18. 18. RefundsRefunds are handled in line with the consumer law that applies to you. Where no statutory right applies, refund requests are reviewed individually at our discretion.
19. 19. Price changesWe may change prices for future billing periods. Existing subscribers receive at least thirty days' notice and may cancel before the new price takes effect.
20. 20. Service availabilityWe aim to keep Poe AI available continuously, but maintenance, updates and events beyond our control may interrupt access. Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
21. 21. Changes to the serviceWe may add, modify or discontinue features, including individual companions, where this is necessary to operate or improve Poe AI.
22. 22. Third-party servicesPoe AI relies on third-party hosting, payment and communication providers. Their outages or policy changes may affect the service, and we are not liable for their acts or omissions.
23. 23. Suspension and terminationWe may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where activity is unlawful, or where an account presents a security risk to others.
24. 24. Termination by youYou may stop using Poe AI at any time and request deletion of your account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
25. 25. Disclaimer of warrantiesPoe AI is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
26. 26. Limitation of liabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from your use of Poe AI is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
27. 27. IndemnityYou agree to indemnify Poe AI against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
28. 28. Governing law and disputesThese terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment. Disputes should first be raised with us directly so we can attempt an informal resolution.
29. 29. Severability and assignmentIf any clause is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent; we may assign ours on notice.
30. 30. Changes to these termsWe may revise these terms and will update the date shown on this page. Continued use of Poe AI after a revision means you accept the updated terms. Contact: support@poe-ai.net.
